Back in 1989, legendary Chicago house music group Ten City (aka Byron Stingily, Byron Burke and Herb Lawson) exploded onto the scene with their seminal album "Foundation" that included all-time house music anthems such as "Devotion", "Right back to you" and "That's the way love is". 36 years later, and Byron Stingily - the band's unmistakable spine-tingling lead singer - teams up with Chicago native Emmaculate (Eric Welton) for the downright fabulous collaborative Ten City album project aptly titled "The next generation" that features an illustrious list of vocalists including Mon'Aerie, El Boogie & Ric Wilson, DRAMA, D. Lylez, OVEOUS and Uneq'ka, as well as o-producers Shebazz Curtis, DJ Flipside, Na’el Shehade, Gershon Jackson and Paris Cesvette. Without any doubt, this eclectic masterly crafted album featuring thirteen phenomenal contemporary deep and soulful house gems is an ingenious masterpiece by no means to be missed.

Back in February, we reviewed the Supa Dave West produced "Grateful" by Stout, a captivating slice of soulful goodness laced with the one-of-a-kind vocal stylings of Stout (coming complete with a superb rendition by Terry Hunter). Now Mirror Ball Recordings grace us with a killer remix by Emmaculate who combines the vocals with phat keys, entrancing chords and a downright infectious backdrop. Essential.
