The legendary Black Vinyl Records recently returned with some slammin' underground goodies, now they present one of the best vocal productions of the year. Italian producer Mauritzio 'Old Bastard' Baiocchi teams up with American born vocalist Orlando Levern Johnson for the sensational "Wanna be", a marvelous slice of soulful underground house featuring stirring vocals by Levern and melodious keys over a remorseless deeper than deep backdrop in the main mix. The '4 AM Mix' opens up with just vocal chants and wicked synth melodies before an old school styled late night groove kicks in, while the 'Invocation Mix' smoothes the vibe for a mesmeric jazz infused percussive journey.

Adaptation Music have been on a roll recently - and with their latest offering courtesy of D-Reflection they have another sure fire hit in their hands. In its original format, "Shoot from the heart" is a summery production featuring sensual vocals by songstress Christa and luscious melodies over deeply thrilling thumpin' rhythms. The versatile selection of remixes which include a laidback piano driven remix by Hideo Kobayashi, a gorgeous deep interpretation by Satoshi Fumi coming your way complete with an even deeper hypnotizing dub and E.B.E's intoxicating remix featuring dramatic keys and chords make this an outstanding release not to be missed.

This one must be sent from heaven... titled "(Just like) a dream", this collaboration by Pirahnahead and Diviniti features celestial vocals and blissful melodies over infectious yet smooth rhythms, making this an instant soulful house classic. But it doesn't end there, as Jose Carretas delivers a brilliant remix, turning the track into a deep yet soulful affair oozing with addictive synth melodies. Not to forget to mention the ingenious Charles Webster remixes - ruff and as deep as it gets, yet truly soulful and full of gorgeous melodies... Essential.

Grooveland Music celebrate their five anniversary in proper style, presenting their second compilation titled "Grooveland Five Years" featuring past, present and future releases selected by label head Wagner Dalcin. Highly talented London soul singer Donae'o makes an impressive debut on Strictly Rhythm with the super soulful "I" which features his unmistakable heartfelt vocals alongside warm melodic keys over a groovy funk drenched backdrop - one not to be missed by any lover of soulful house music. But it doesn't end here as the release comes complete with slammin' remixes by Sean McCabe and Kenny Dope, both injecting their signature sound to take the song to the next level while always keeping the vibe soulful. A future classic.

With the old school flavored "Truth" by Andre Espeut and Andre Bonser (released under the Masterman disguise), the Soulfulbeats crew (Matt Hughes, Mickey Blanco, Neil MacLean and Powdersoul) present one of the best soulful house tunes we heard in years, oozing with a gorgeous silky-smooth vibe created by touching vocals, delectable keys and a captivating backing. The dub with its deepened feel is a sure fire late night favorite, while Nick Moss (aka Groove Assassin) remixes use a mellow afro-percussive groove as playground for the vocals, grand piano and lush synth melodies. Timeless and essential.

For the third release on their Newav Media label, DJN Project have joined forces with the legendary Kenny Bobien to present the eternal "What a way", a song soon to be considered a timeless classic thanks to Kenny Bobien's unmistakable falsetto vocals, glorious melodies and a smooth yet thrilling four-to-the floor backing. The remixes come form Carlos Vargas whose deepened take is built around percussive rhythms and features grand jazzy keys, John Crockett who delivers an impetuously thumpin' version laced with his beloved keyboard and organ solos as well as a celestial deeper version, and last but not least Phil Hooton who contributes a magnum opus with his two masterly orchestrated deep laidback interpretations - heavenly house music not to be missed...
