Junior & MAQman - No better love It has been a while since Joseph Junior and MAQman blessed us with their precious soulful dance music made for eternity (who could forget their unrivaled "I don't see love" released last October), thankfully they are back now with another musical gem. The Disco/Funk infused "No better love" oozes with a masterly orchestration including grand horns, exquisite keys and a fierce funked-up backdrop, not to forget to mention the unmistakable seductive vocals by Joseph Junior. But it doesn't end here as in addition to the marvelous original version there are amazing remixes by Ralf GUM who turns the heat up on his truly soulful yet absolutely spell binding interpretation laced with lush synths, and then for the first time Ralf GUM and MAQman join forces to grace us with a deep afrotastic rendition fueled with heavenly keys. Another definite moment in the history of soulful house music...

JoVonn featuring Chavell - Don't touch me

This timeless JoVonn production is a favorite at Spirit of House ever since Deeptrax Digital sent us an exclusive promo back in April of this year, now this infectious slice of soulful underground house reminiscent of the early 90's with its deeper than deep truly remorseless rhythms, thrilling keys as only JoVonn can do and Chavell Singleton's inimitable sultry vocals is about to become an all-time classic in the years to come thanks to the newly added remixes. Sophisticado mastermind Vick Lavender is pulling out all the stops on his masterly orchestrated soul/jazz/funk infused interpretations oozing with his beloved vintage sound. In other words, this gem is guaranteed to send shivers down your spine and make you yearn for more. By no means to be missed.

JohNick - You know how we dew... Johnny 'D' De Mairo and Nicky Palermo Jr. (better known as JohNick) are a pair of Italian-American DJ's who consider their tracks a tribute to what was before, but with a modern twist. The record that started it all for them was "Everything I got" they released under the disguise The Faces through Vibe Music in 1993. Soon after, in 1994, they launched their own now legendary label Henry Street Music and started to release their tracks as JohNick, making their Disco infused sound known to the world (it was not just Disco samples, but Disco methods they drew on for inspiration). Now, almost two decades later, BBE Records present a comprehensive retrospective of the duo's work - from the seminal "Play the world" to "Open your eyes" and "Wild kingdom", all the essential tracks they put out over the years can be found on this 22 track compilation which lets you rejoice in the timeless JohNick sound.
