Classic Pick: Rudoulpho "Sunday afternoon" / "Touch me" (Atlantic Records 12", 1992)

This all-time underground house music classic by Rudoulpho (Renato Pearson), originally released back in 1992 on the "Underground Dance Music Vol. 1" compilation and later on as Italian 12" vinyl single (the US 12" test pressings are impossible to find), sounds as fresh and ingenious as it did thirty years ago. Undeniably inspired by the Kool & The Gang classic "Summer madness", this is Jersey garage at the highest level, both the instrumental "Sunday afternoon" and "Touch me" featuring a sexy male vocal (backed with a sample of he Ecstasy, Passion & Pain classic "Touch and go") are sure to send the dancers into a frenzy.
