Distant People featuring Nickson "My love song" (Solid Ground Records CD Promo)
The saga continues as Solid Ground Records release another soulful gem courtesy of Distant People (Joey Silvero) who teams up with singer Nickson for "My love song", an uber soulful production featuring heartfelt vocals and glorious keys over a funk soaked backing in the 'Main Mix', while the jazzy piano and classic strings on the 'Classic Mix' let the track ooze with a lovely old school feel. Ian Friday's gorgeous organic 'Libation Mix' was previously featured on the labels 'Miami 2012 Sampler', next are truly delectable remixes by Zepherin Saint combining Nickson's vocals with illustrious keys and smooth yet contaminous percussive rhythms.
The Copasetic "Far away" / "Dance with me" (DiverseCity Music CD Promo)
DiverseCity Music are going from strength to strength, with their latest offering being courtesy of The Copasetic (DJ Afro & Manchildblack). Two wonderful songs are included, with "Far away" being a sun drenched production featuring deeply felt vocals and luscious melodies over percussive rhythms, while the old school flavored "Dance with me" is on a summery laidback tip, spreading a feel-good vibe through the uplifting vocals and soul/funk drenched backing. Daz-I-Kue and Juan Laya & Jorge Montiel contribute the remixes of "Dance with me", each adding his distinctive touch to the song.

Here we have a soulful bomb courtesy of Soul-Fi Records who give us slammin' remixes by Eric Kupper and Dave Doyle of the beautiful "Baby it's you" by legendary UK soul singer Kenny Thomas who impresses with his unmistakable vocals. Eric Kupper blesses us with his smoothly stompin' version laced with grand piano and lush keys bringing the beloved soulful DEFmix sound back to the floor, while Dave Doyle delivers a fierce four-to-the-floor interpretation built around a funk soaked backdrop, cool guitar, jazzy keys and classic strings.
