Ezel featuring Tamara Wellons "Girl from Ipanema" (Makin' Moves Records CD Promo)
Makin' Moves bless us with Ezel Feliz' paramount cover version of the unforgettable bossa nova song "Girl from Ipanema", a song that was a worldwide hit in the mid-1960's originally produced by Antonio Carlos Jobim, with Portuguese lyrics from Vinius de Moraes (English lyrics were written later by Norman Gimbel). Ezel's glamorous bossa nova re-creation is sheer musical bliss, featuring an amazing rendition of the lyrics by songstress Tamara Wellons. The up-tempo mixes are courtesy of Justin Imperiale who turns the song into a laidback percussive affair keeping the spirit of the original alive, and Trinidadiandeep who contributes a seminal deep house re-imagination oozing with heavenly melodies.
