Back in October of last year, Boston soulful house maestro Kelvin Sylvester and vocalist Lee Wilson graced us with a breathtaking cover version of The System's all-time dance music classic "You're in my system" (released back in 1982 on Mirage Records), now come the remixes of this gem. Label head Luyo delivers a verily hypnotizing deep'n'dark electronic rework, Sudad G drops a fervid piano laden feel-good workout, and last but not least SoulLab relax the vibe on their super smooth and melodious summery rendition.

Dave Anthony returns to Makin' Moves (following up his excellent remix of "New day" by Fuminori Kagajo and songstress Jaidene Veda) with the superb "Never give you up" featuring the vocal talents of Beverlei Brown. The main version is a timeless slice of soulful house featuring the unmistakable haunting vocals of  Beverlei Brown alongside sublime jazzy keys, dreamy chords and gentle yet thrilling rhythms. Junior Mmeto (aka Soulful Junior) and Moloko Maganyi (aka Young DJ) join forces with Chicago based vocalist Richelle Hicks for "I want you", most definitely this mesmerizing deeply thumpin' afro house track fueled with ethereal keys, classy sax hooks and the inimitable tempting vocals of Richelle Hicks will send shivers down your spine. Here we have the first of two new releases by Exte C for this week, a marvelous collaboration with Rhey Osborne and Njabulo Msibi entitled "Oh oh oh". Next up on Bodikela Recordings is "Kiss kiss" by Dyrho featuring guest artists DJ Prince Loyd and Wara Ganre, to cut a long story short "Kiss kiss" is a top-notch afro house production oozing with amazing emotive vocals, glamorous keys and verily spell binding afrotastic rhythms. The 'Deeper Mix' is a fabulous alternate version giving the track an enticing afro-deep feel.

Ezel featuring Mateo Senolia "You got worked" (Defected Records CD Promo)

DJ/producer Ezel makes his return to Spirit of House with "You got worked", an absolutely resistless transcendental dance floor weapon using deep acidic rhythms as foundation for mesmerizing synth hooks and the unique spoken words of Mateo Senolia. The remixes are courtesy of Casamena (Carlos Mena) who contributes an utterly hypnotizing deep house workout, and Ezel himself whose 'Ice Cold Edit' is a brilliant alteration of the original version. Afro Traxx Pick #1: Exte C "Mama wethu" (Merecumbe Recordings CD Promo)

The second new release by South Africa's Exte C (Charles Mogane) for this week is "Mama wethu" forthcoming on Merecumbe Recordings. In short, "Mama wethu" is a phantasmagorical afro house track built around a gentle yet intriguing tribal-esque organic backdrop, wicked guitar, luscious keys and charming vocal chants. On remix duty is label head Doug Gomez whose vibrant re-imagination enriched with a stunning organ ride turns up the heat for maximum impact on the dance floor.

Latin House Pick: Andrea Erre & Criss Hawk featuring Salvatore Nane' "Coracao samba" (HSR Records CD Promo)

Not much needs to be said or written about this beautiful release by Andrea Erre and Criss Hawk...
