In March, DJ/producer DJ Pope and vocalist Adrian Blu gave us the splendiferous "The sun", now they return with a sparkling four-to-the-floor remake of Herbie Hancock's 1980 classic "Stars in your yes" (with Ollie Wright on keys). The main mixes laced with lush keys, a ruthlessly thumpin' backing and the unmistakable deep-rooted vocals of Adrian Blu stay true and respectful to the original, while the alternate mixes are a modern re-imagination fueled with luxurious jazzy keys, classy horns and spell binding percussive rhythms.

The original version of "So satisfied" by legendary Keith Nunally was released back in March on the "Quantize Miami Sampler 2017", now we can enjoy a grandiose interpretation by DJ Pope (to be found on "Quantize Quintessentials Volume 12 compiled and mixed by DJ Pope") who transforms this glorious slab of classic soulful house into an intriguing contemporary soul oozing gem fusing Keith Nunally's one-of-a-kind passionate vocals with sublime jazzed-up keys, celestial chords and an infectious organic backdrop.

Faith Howard "All of my love" (Chicago House Legacy Project Promo)

Most definitely you don't want to miss out on the paramount "All of my love" performed in grand style by songstress Faith Howard and produced by Jerry C. King and Steve 'Miggedy' Maestro. In short, "All of my love" is a verily inspiring uber soulful jewel that is all about Faith Howard's incomparable gospel tinged vocals, sumptuous keys, wicked guitar and a contaminous funked-up backdrop altogether creating an uplifting vibe you can't resist to dance to.

It is always a pleasure to listen to and review a new release on D#Sharp Records as this label is all about quality... Scheduled for a September release, the label's latest offering "I want my happy back" by Natasha Gilbert is produced by label head Joe Flame and comes in a superb selection of verily eclectic and tasty interpretations by Joe Flame himself and DJ Gary B ranging from underground house to classic and contemporary soulful house, with each of these interpretations keeping the vibe soulful yet enthralling while perfectly showcasing the outstanding spirited vocals of Natasha Gilbert.

London's own Sol Brown is back on Makin' Moves with a wonderful collaboration with songsters Selina Campbell entitled "Wide awake". To cut right to the chase, "Wide awake" is super soulful and melodious yet captivating with Selina Campbell's amazing sultry vocals being accompanied by glittering keys, ethereal chords and a smooth yet compelling backdrop.

DJ SGZ featuring Trevor Mako "Fallen" (Nightshade Music Group Promo)

DJ SGZ (aka Gugulethu Mokwebo) returns to Spirit of House with "Fallen", to make it short he truly graces us with a glamorous uber soulful afro house jewel featuring the beautiful emotive vocals of Trevor Mako alongside dazzling brass sounds by Matt Giella, exquisite keys, dreamy chords and gentle yet thrilling afro-percussive rhythms. Stones & Bones featuring Mpumi "Masambe" (MoBlack Records Promo)

South Africa's Stones & Bones (the duo of Casper Steenkamp aka Casper J Stone and Kgothatso Mohlaka aka KG Bones) return to MoBlack Records to follow-up their club smash hit "Amahloni" (released beginning of the year) with "Masambe", an utterly hypnotizing slice of afro house goodness using ruthlessly pulsating rhythms as playground for enticing atmospheric synth melodies, cool saxophone hooks and Mpumi's incredible haunting vocals.
