Entity featuring Charles Cooper "Magic" (Remixes)(USO Recordings CD Promo)

Beginning of August, we introduced you to the original set of mixes of "Magic" by up and rising house music artists Charles Cooper and Darian Crouse, now the remixes of this masterpiece have landed on our desk - similar to the first set of mixes they are not to be missed. There is a feel good Disco inspired remix by Entity, captivating broken beat flavored remixes by Big Brown Baby taking you back in time (check the raw dub for no-nonsense underground vibes), a classy deep house rendition by DJ Soultek fueled with lush melodies, and finally we have Entity's deeper than deep afrolicious 'Uzima Mix'.

Lee Pearson Jr. Collective "Evolved: The Debut EP" (Anka Shank Music CD Promo)

Up and coming Chicago producer, songwriter and singer Lee Pearson Jr. presents the magnificent "Evolved: The Debut EP" which marks the first release for Anka Shank Music, a brand new independent record label he set up with partner Erwin McEwen. The EP features special contributions from Larry Heard, Abicah Soul, Darren 'DJ Quad' Brandon, Terry Yancy and Bruce 'Union Soul' Rodgers - the result are three masterly crafted songs showcasing the various talents of Lee Pearson Jr. "Who's to blame" and "Tell me what it is" are both fantastic soulful up-tempo productions oozing with glorious melodies, while the heavenly "Winding roads" is an ageless mid-tempo soul/r&b inspired production. Essential.

IndySoul presents Tantra Zawadi & Dana Byrd "Change all over me" (Shines Records CD Promo)

Hot on the heels of his previous club favorite "I'm done" follows the next bomb from Montreal's own Carl 'IndySoul' Guerrard titled "Change all over me", a deep underground-esque production featuring inspiring vocals by Tantra Zawadi and Dana Byrd alongside phat keys over infectiously stormin' rhythms. To top it all off, an all start cast is responsible for the remixes: Jonny Montana, Deep Xcape, Kafele Bandele, Nastee Nev, Guerilla Science, Chip Chop, RudeDisko and label head Gene King all add  their distinctive soulful/deep touch to the song, giving you plenty of choices to work the floor.

Distant People featuring Carla Prather "Have no fear" (Solid Ground Recordings CD Promo)

Here we have the second new promo from Solid Ground Recordings for the week courtesy of Joey Silvero (under his Distant People disguise) and songstress Carla Prather who join forces for "Have no fear", an uplifting production built around a fiercely thumpin' backdrop, sublime keys and Carla Prather's amazing vocals which premiered on the labels massive "Spring Sampler" earlier this year. The remixes are courtesy of Ezel who relaxes the vibe on his deep silky-smooth interpretation laced with beautiful jazzy keys, and Groove Assassin who gives the song a timeless classic feel on his precious rendition fueled with lush keys.

In 1985, Swiss duo Double hat a world-wide hit with "The captain of her heart", now Spain's Kiko Navarro presents a dreamy balearic flavored interpretation featuring an impressive vocal performance by Paul Randolph. While the original is the choice for the lounge, the remixes take the track straight to the dance floor. Daniel Kyo's remix is on an old school acidic tip, while his dub is a more minimalistic enchanting affair. Roberto Rodriguez is twisting things around on his deep mesmerizing dub rework laced with celestial melodies, and last but not least there is a freaky down-tempo version by Jeff Sharel.

Back in 2002, Black Vinyl released the gorgeous "Floating" by Portuguese-Angolan DJ/producer Aguinaldo Ferreira aka DJ Aguy, now ten years later this incredible track which features emotional female vocals beautiful guitar returns in brand new massive remixes. First up we have DJ Aguy himself under his new Black Silk moniker. His 'Orchestral Remix' is perfect for prime-time play thanks to dramatic synth hooks, catchy piano and contaminous rhythms, while his 'Dub Guitar 2012 Remix' is a supreme laidback rendition oozing with an adorable dreamy vibe.
