South Africa's DJ General Slam joins forces with spoken word artist Rescue Poetix for "Tap", a sure-fire dance floor bomb using ruthlessly thumpin' rhythms as playground for Rescue Poetix' unrivaled poetry and exhilarating synth melodies - in other words, jam-packed floors are guaranteed whenever you drop this wicked track. Also included is a fabulous broken beat interpretation oozing with a splendorous jazz infused laidback feel - sheer musical bliss.

Rachael Calladine "Don't lie" (HSR Records CD Promo)

Another week, another soulful gem from HSR Records - this label truly is on a roll at the moment... The latest offering from the label is the illustrious "Don't lie" by Rachael Calladine coming your way in a marvelous selection of mixes to choose from. First up is the masterly orchestrated  interpretation by Soulbridge oozing with an exquisite organic jazz/funk infused vibe, next is Guido P who contributes an enthralling rendition laced with grand piano and a fervid backdrop, followed by Alex Millet who serves an enticing workout fueled with heavenly melodies. Last but not least, SoulFunktion inject their beloved warm and melodious deep touch.

Ralf GUM featuring Monique Bingham "The pap" (GoGo Music CD Promo)

With the global release of Ralf GUM's third artist album "In my city" is imminent, GoGo Music present the second single taken from th album. "The pap" which is co-produced by Phil Kullmann (aka Raw Artistic Soul) features outstanding songstress Monique Bingham, and without any doubt this is one of our favorite tracks on the album. Quite simply, the unique combination of Monique Bingham's inimitable sultry vocals with spell binding deep afro-tastic rhythms and glamorous melodies are guaranteed to put a spell on you and send the floor into a frenzy...

Lewis Ferrier featuring Mavis Acquah "Love is on its way" (The Remixes 2014)(Stimulated Soul Recordings CD Promo)

In late August of this year, we were celebrating the re-release of "Love on its way" by Lewis Ferrier, a soulful yet captivating production featuring the sultry vocals of Mavis Acquah alongside jazzy keys and lovely synth chords over a ruthlessly pounding backdrop (the release also includes the original Morten Trust and Dutchican Soul remixes). Now the 2014 remixes taking this beauty to a whole new level are here: first up we have Shane D dropping a glorious old school inspired truly uplifting boogie-esque rework, second we have Gilbert Le Funk going into a completely different direction on his relentlessly pulsating' utterly deep and mesmerizing re-imagination laced with enchanting keys.

Tshepo N At Large featuring Komplexity "Colourful" (Baainar Records CD Promo)

South African underground house label Baainar Records have a beauty in their hands with "Colourful" by Tshepo N At Large which features vocals by up and rising artist Komplexity. To cut right to the chase, deep'n'smooth yet captivating rhythms lead the way for Komplexity's sweet deeply felt vocals and dulcet keys - in other words, soulful house music at its best. Also included in the release is a stellar truly eclectic selection of remixes from the likes of Kingbayaa, DJ Fortee, DJ Thakzin and Beebar giving you plenty of options to work the floor.

Rames featuring Russell Paterson "Get down" (Ber'lin Records CD  Promo)

US based Ber'lin Records present an incredible throwback in time with the soul oozing "Get down" by Rames, with the featured vocalist being Russell Patterson from legendary group Black Ivory (so is the background singer on this release: Leroy Burgess) whose all time dance classic "Mainline" from 1979 was sampled numerous times. To make it short, "Get down" is guaranteed to make you yearn for more thanks to the infectious old school inspired funk soaked backdrop, Russell Patterson's unmistakable inspiring vocals, classic strings and sublime keys. Just like they used to it back in the day, this release features extended club, instrumental, radio and acapella versions - let your imagination be the limit when working the floor...

Exclusive Preview: Barry White "Girl it's true, yes I'll always love you" (Rags Rework)(CD-R)

Well, what we have here is likely the deepest ever four-to-the-floor rework of a Barry White (rip) song ever done... This mind-boggling re-imagination is courtesy of Andrew 'Rags' Richardson who transforms "Girl it's true, yes I'll always love you" (from Barry White's 1973 album "Stone gon'") into a deeper than deep utterly hypnotizing affair fueled with empyreal melodies which is somewhat reminiscent of David Morales legendary Red Zone mixes from the 80s/90s. Pure class...

Best of the Rest

We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...

Getting deeper to the underground, South Africa's D.General (one half of the popular duo DeepXscape) is blessing us with the superb "Strictly Underground Vol. 1" EP armed with four utterly deep and mesmerizing yet gentle and melodious underground-esque deep house tracks perfect for late night play (Solid Ground Recordings CD Promo).

Keeping the vibe deep and somewhat trippy are Germany's Mountal with their "Gold Digger EP". We would like to focus your attention to the super phat remixes by the one and only Mr. V who contributes two mind-blowing late night interpretations of the title track sure to set the floor on fire (Lost My Dog Records CD Promo). From the creative mind of Demarkus Lewis comes the massive "Below the Surface EP" which features three equally massive dance floor weapons built around utterly spell binding old school inspired backings, cool vocal elements and seductive chords and choppy stabs (Salted Music CD Promo).

We are closing this weeks update with Dave Kennedy who takes us on a spiritual journey with the galactical "Elseworldz" EP released under his Raw Organic moniker.
