We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...
From Tony Vee comes "The Inspirations Part 1" loaded with nothing but dance floor bombs. "Hot hot hot" is best described as a relentless four-to-the-floor remake of Pal Joey's 1990 classic "Hot music" that samples the piano from Wynton Marsalis "Skains domain" - pure fyiah. 86deep (Neil Rumney) contributes a pristine deep house rework of the track, and finally there is the tantalizing old skool inspired deep cut "Strings for life" (Tony Records CD Promo). We are keeping things deep with "Fresh" by Hamza a gorgeous jazz infused production oozing with a warm organic feel. Included in the package are absolutely stellar remixes by JFunc, Nico Mendez and Tamandua Twist guaranteed to please the deep house headz (Housewreck Media CD Promo).
Beyond Tone are back with the second volume in their "Beyond Tone and Friends" series, similar to its predecessor this is an amazing truly deepalicious EP loaded with three equally impressive deep house cuts from Beyond Tone themselves and Shaun Ashby (FOMP CD Promo). The "17th Dream EP" by South Africa's Canold Dehp is nothing short of sensational and features three excellent afro-deep tracks spreading a hypnotizing feel through resistless rhythms and alluring melodies (Digital Generation Records CD Promo).
To cut right to the chase, "Call of the tribes" by Luis Machuca is an utterly infectious slice of afro-deepness, with gentle tribal-esque rhythms leading the way for seductive atmospheric melodies and sexy vocals by Kyhan Smith and Lea Aka Leanna Yip (SoundMen on Wax Records CD Promo). Shino Blackk presents the "Just Blackk" EP which includes three tracks: "Phenomenal (woman)" combines Maya Angelou poem with an unadulterated underground-esque backdrop and lush keys, "(Send one) your love" is a fabulous 4/4 re-imagination of the Stevie Wonder song from 1979, and finally "The rite-bodega" is a super smooth jazzy-percussive groover (Digital Generation CD Promo).
