Velvet Suite Lounge "Fade away" (Unreleased Mixes)(Sophisticado Records CD Promo)

Back in February of this year, Sophisticado Records blessed us with "Fade away" by South Africa's Velvet Suite Lounge (Neo Soulsta & Paul Solaris), a wonderful laidback production on an enchanting afro-latin tip, taken to all new heights by Vick Lavender who adds his beloved vintage soul/jazz/funk infused sound. Now this timeless gem returns in previously unreleased remixes by the Sophisticado family, letting us enjoy the masterly orchestration once again in its full glory. As stated in our original review, "Fade away" will stand the test of time and become an all-time classic in the years to come.

Raw Siqnal "Come on baby" (Sandisco Recordings CD Promo)

Sandisco Recordings introduce us to South Africa's Raw Siqnal and his delightful "Come on baby", a soulful truly melodious and enticing deep house jewel laced with sexy vocal stabs and heavenly keys over smooth yet spell binding ancestral rhythms - to cut a long story short, "Come on baby" is sheer musical bliss and by no means to be missed. Nuff said.

Blak Beat Niks "Get over yourself" (Solid Ground Recordings CD Promo)

What a musical gem we have here... The Blak Beat Niks grace us with an inspiring soulful four-to-the-floor production built around a glamorous organic funk soaked backdrop, grand keys and outstanding emotive vocals by Olandus Gray - the result is simply breathtaking and guaranteed to send shivers down your spine... Man of the moment Sean McCabe takes the song to the next level on his mind-blowing uplifting interpretation which combines the amazing vocals with joyous keys, lovely guitar by Andy Compton and smooth yet compelling funk drenched rhythms.

Ultra Soul Project featuring Khowcie "He was right here" (Remixes)(Gruv Shack Records CD Promo)

A few months ago (in December of last year to be precise), Gruv Shack Records presented "He was right here" by Ultra Soul Project, a delicious slice of deep house music using soulful yet contaminous deeper than deep rhythms as playground for lascivious spoken word poetry by Khowcie and lush melodies. Now the track returns in a gigantic remix package loaded with phenomenal remixes from the likes of Soul Invaders Musiq, Deep Sentiments, Symphonic, Deeprebel, Nova M, GrooveCitySoul, Tri-Deap, Maqabe, Echo Deep and Sacred Soul, giving you plenty of choices to work the floor.

Joseph Hines "Life's Evaluation EP" (Smooth Agent Tracks CD Promo)

The "Life's Evaluation EP" by Joseph Hines, DJ/producer and label owner of Fomp, is an ingenious deep house release coming complete with an amazing selection of remixes. First up we have "Mary", a deep soul-tech inspired track spreading an irresistible feel through mesmerizing rhythms and luscious melodies. Next is "What's life's evaluation", a thrilling afro-deep track which is fueled with sultry spoken words by Loretta and ethereal keys. "What's life's evaluation" has been remixed by South Africa's Luka and Blaq Soul who give us delectable afrotastic renditions, Greece's Beekay Deep who serves a tech-house flavored rework, and label head Sean Smith who drops a Disco inspired workout.

DJ Vivona featuring Miss D "Surely the one" (Super Soul Music CD Promo)

Super Soul Music are on a roll at the moment as they unleash another dance floor bomb with "Sure the one" by DJ Vivona and songstress Miss D. The 'Main Mix' is a super delicious affair combining Miss D's incomparable passionate vocals with deeply groovin' rhythms and lush melodies - jam-packed floors guaranteed. The 'Alternate Mix' gives the track a deep dark feel yet keeping the overall vibe soulful and melodious. On remix duty is Jonathan Meyer who contributes two equally slammin' remixes both destined for prime time play thanks to infectious rhythms and luxurious melodies.

DJ Roland Clark presents Urban Soul "Have a good time" (KingStreet Records CD Promo)

Turning back the clock to 2007, Roland Clark - under his Urban Soul moniker - graced us with "Have a good time", a fierce track that guaranteed to spread a feel good vibe on the dance floor every time it gets played thanks to the unmistakable infectious vocals by Roland Clark. Fast forward to 2013, and the track is back in a massive remix by Joeski who delivers a deep somewhat dark truly hypnotizing workout. But this is not all as the blazin' hot Mr. V remixes from 2007 which built around a great jazzy piano, lovely chords and deeply thumpin' rhythms are included as well in re-edited and re-mastered versions to ensure full aural and dance floor pleasure.

Originally featured on SoundMen on Wax Records' "SOW Miami Sampler 2013", the wonderful "Praise him" by Distant People which features deeply rooted vocals by Matlhatsi 'Nickson' Phala alongside sublime keys and lovely guitar over an enthralling funk drenched backdrop is getting a well deserved full single release complete with stellar remixes by Spiritual Blessings, Latest Craze (Michael Gavrilidis & Peter Massa), Cristopher Ross, Magic Soul (LP Maponyane & Joshua Mokoena) and Kevin Julien, all adding their distinctive soulful touch, making it next to impossible to pick a favorite version.
