Its that time of the year again where the Music Conference in Miami takes place, and as we all know this is the perfect time to showcase previously hidden gems... Swedish-based Argentinian musician Jose Gonzalez released his second album "In our nature" in 2007, including the flamenco affected "Killing for love" which has been reworked by Peavey into a hypnotizing four-to-the-floor thumper guaranteed to send you into a frenzy. In 2001, Kenny Lattimore released his third album "Weekend", with the title track having a decidedly retro-80's feel owing to a sample from Blondie's "Rapture", which shines through in its full glory on Alex Dimitri's fiercely stompin' funk soaked rework.
Natasha Watts "Look inside" (Slaag Records CD Promo)
Slaag Records are on a roll at the moment, blessing us with the beautiful "Look inside" by Natasha Watts which is produced by label head Glenn Thornton whose original version oozes with a timeless classic feel created by sublime strings, lush keys and Natasha Watt's incomparable vocals. Ondagrove (Giles Hirst) keeps the vibe soulful while giving the track an organic feel, Matthias Heilbronn injects his unique fusion of garage/tech/dub to turn the track into an underground anthem and last but not least Chris Udoh serves a deep tech flavored rerub.

Oscar P is presenting some of the tunes he will drop in his sets at this years Winter Music Conference, and believe us they are sure to set the floor on fire... Some of them are already available (such as the DJ Ouder and Ocean Deep remixes of "Make me over" by Distant People featuring singer Nicole Mitchell, or his remix of "Mariboyeh" by Benji Candelario featuring Charo Velecio), some are as of yet unreleased. Our favorite are the brand new remixes of "The more I get" by Davidson Ospina and singer David Walker courtesy of Oscar P and partner C. Scott who turn the track into a deep mesmerizing affair driven by remorseless deep rhythms - as we said above, they are sure to set the floor on fire...
