Best of the Rest

We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...

To cut a long story short, "Sunshine over Rio" by Soulfuledge is a gorgeous soul drenched production laced with killer flute, cool vocal hooks and infectious percussive rhythms, altogether spreading an uplifting summery vibe guaranteed to make you yearn for more... (Soulfuledge Recordings CD Promo).

Max Martinez presents the "Ode to 313" EP which features two marvelous old school flavored deep house cuts both taking you on an exhilarating journey to deepest territory. Also included is a superb remix by June Lopez of the title track (Plastik People CD Promo).

Phil Weeks is back with "It's the inside that counts", a rather minimalistic yet truly effective track built around a massive (and we mean massive) absolutely relentless bassline driven backing groove that is topped with a killer sample vocal from Loleatta Holloway's all-time classic "Dreaming". The bonus track "Another 303 groove" is in a similar vein - simplistic yet infectious and hypnotizing, featuring the classic 'Jack your body' vocal sample and reminiscences to the classic acid sound (Robsoul CD Promo).

2 Men in Da House (aka Tamashi DJ and Mauritzio) bring us "Relax your body", an utterly hpynotizing track guaranteed to jam-pack the floor thanks to irresistible tribalesque rhythms, exhilarating vocal chants and empyreal synth melodies (CyberJamz Records CD Promo).

DaSouL & Fabry Diglio join forces with Terry Grant for "Daemon skin", a deep somewhat dark yet utterly hypnotizing production that is different from what you probably would expect to hear from  DaSouL & Fabry Diglio - but make no mistake, this is an ingenious deep house gem, a real dance floor delight featuring the haunting vocals of Terry Grant. Comes complete with a jaw-dropping remix by Mad Boss (Loco Records CD Promo).

"Illuminate me" by Carl Hanaghan is a dreamy slice of deep house music featuring the sultry vocals of Beth alongside uplifting atmospheric chords over a sun kissed groove.
