"Urban renewal" was originally released in 2007 on the "Truth and Progress EP Episode 1", with remixes by Doc Link following in 2008. Now this wicked track returns once again in fresh scintillating remixes which combine the one-of-a-kind spoken word poetry of Eman with soothing melodious, sweet guitar riffs and pulsating funked up rhythms. Simply beautiful...

Courtesy of South Africa's SoulPoizen aka Nkosingiphile Ngiba comes the jaw-dropping "Intomb' emnyama", a production guaranteed to set the floor on fire through the mesmerizing afro-tribal rhythms, the emotive truly enticing vocals of Mthuthu and the enthralling keys and chords. The 'Betasweet & Snipes Tribute to Velile Mix' is a fantastic warm organic interpretation laced with dulcet melodies, while the heavenly 'Sobz Deeper Revision' oozing with enchanting chords and jazzy piano is a prime choice for late night play.

Back in 2007, KingStreet blessed us with the gorgeous "Piece of meat" presented by Byron Stingily and performed in grand style by Lejuan. No this wonderful song returns in amazing remixes by Mark Di Meo & Tony Loreto whose mind-blowing underground-esque interpretations are guaranteed to put a spell on you thanks to the thrilling deeply thumpin' backdrop, enticing synth melodies and Lejuan's passionate vocals. Also included is Quentin Harris' signature remix from the 2007 original release.

Carlos Sanchez Movement presents "The Grown and Sexy EP Part One" (CyberJamz Records CD Promo)

CyberJamz Records grace us with this masterly release by Carlos Sanchez who presents "The Grown and Sexy EP Part One" loaded with nothing but dizzying re-imaginations of soul/jazz/r&b favorites. From Gregory Porter's "Lonely one" (from the 2010 album "Water") over Kenny Lattimore's "Come down in time" (from the 2008 album "Timeless"), Dwight Trible's "Little sunflower" (from the 2006 album "Living water"), Kem's "Matter of time" (from the 2003 album "Kemistry") to Ledisi's "Lost and found" (the title track from her 2007 album), this is sheer musical bliss, with each of Carlos Sanchez' timeless soul oozing four-to-the-floor interpretations staying true and respectful to the original song.

DJ Whisky & Jonny Miller featuring Zaki Ibrahim "Lost it all" (Tribe Records CD Promo)

Tribe Records are on a roll at the moment, with their latest offering being the marvelous "Lost it all" by DJ Whisky, Jonny Miller and songstress Zaki Ibrahim. DJ Whisky's version of "Lost it all" is soulful yet mesmerizing, with Zaki Ibrahim's alluring vocals being accompanied by delectable keys and deep gentle rhythms, while on Jonny Miller's workout an organic bouncin' backing leads the way for the vocals and entrancing melodies.

DJ Djeff "Os dois velhos" (Ocha Records CD Promo)

"Os dois velhos" by Angolan sensation Tiago Barros, more popularly known as DJ Jeff Afrozila is taking over dance floors as we speak thanks to truly hypnotizing afro-tribal rhythms, ethereal synths and Yoruba chants. The remixes are courtesy of Trinidadian Deep who takes the track to deepest grounds on his inebriant rendition laced with seductive melodies, and  Jose Marquez who contributes a drum-tastic rework guaranteed to send the floor into a frenzy.

Swiss DJ/producer Steven Stone joins forces with powerhouse vocalist L.T. Brown for "Let it go", a breathtaking production which combines the phenomenal truly unmistakable vocals of L.T. Phil Weeks and Ladybird collaborate on "Searching4love", a mind-blowing slice of deep house which fuses Ladybird's seductive vocal magic with deep mesmerizing rhythms and delectable keys - drop this and watch the dance floor erupt... Also included is the mid-tempo bonus cut "You want my love" which brings the beloved soul/funk sounds from yesteryear back to the dance floor. We just can't stop listening to this wonderful 70's infused gem...

Sabrina Chyld "Fly too high" (Double Cheese Records CD Promo)

The next release on Double Cheese Records comes courtesy of UK songstress Sabrina Chyld whose marvelous cover version of the "Fly too high" disco classic is produced by the team of Fabry Diglio, Mario Bianco and Andrea Gambardella. Sabrina Chyld's distinctive expressive vocals are coupled with blissful keys and a smooth backing, altogether spreading an uplifting feel. The 'Deep Dub' by Fabry Diglio is a stunning late night workout laced with glamorous keys, while Mario Bianco drops a hypnotizing dance floor stomper sure to rock the floor.

Best of the Rest

We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...

Henrik Schwarz has taken on Roachford's beautiful "Work it out" and reworked the song into an utterly infectious funk infused four-to-the-floor affair oozing with beautiful sounds and wonderful transitions (Peppermint Jam Records CD Promo). Andy Compton blesses us with the delectable "What you see EP" which features three equally massive soul oozing deep house productions, each of them guaranteed to cause a stir on the dance floor (Peng Records CD Promo).

From Mood Capacity comes the gorgeous "Munish Vasur EP", featuring upcoming singer Phitso Namandla Jr. The title track is on a laidback tip, with mellow rhythms leading the way for sublime jazzy keys and Phitso's breathtaking vocals. "Putish dotish" is a magnificent broken beat flavored production sure to make you yearn for more with its sweet melodies (Gruv Shack Records CD Promo). "The kiss" by Russian producer Timian and songstress Nika Belaya is a splendorous slice of sun drenched house music not unlike the classic Naked Music releases, with the seductive vocals being accompanied by a fantastic sax courtesy of Syntheticsax and empyreal keys (Diamondhouse Records CD Promo).

Not much needs to be said and written about "Osambama" by Randomized Coffee besides this track is a truly remorsless and mesmerihing tribalesque dance floor gem featuring inspiring spoken words and wicked Hammond. Jonathan Meyer further intensifies the vibe on his fierce remix (Super Soul Music CD Promo). The latest offering from Cranky Owls is "Serenity", a deep house production featuring uber cool vocals and freaky synths over deep grooveylicious rhythms.
