The marvelously soulful and truly uplifting "Breathe" by soulful warriors Jonny Montana, Craig Stewart and Dale Nortier performed in grand style by disco/boogie/funk sensation Kiki Kyte returns in mind-boggling remixes by FabioLous Barker, Collective Souls, Babis Kotsanis and Bonna all adding their beloved distinctive touch, the result is a dope selection of interpretations ranging from contemporary boogie over classic house to peak time dance floor action. Israel's Obas Nenor makes his debut on Defected Records with the hypnotizing "My intuition", to cut right to the chase this wicked track using an extremely chunky somewhat moody yet truly compelling percussion enriched backing groove as foundation for tantalizing synth melodies and the enchanting haunting vocals of Jenny Penkin is pure fiyah...

Carl Hanaghan featuring Leanne Brown "Runaway" (Duffnote Records Promo)

"Runaway" by DJ/producer Carl Hanaghan is a vibrant verily sexy production built around an infectiously bouncin' backdrop, ethereal synth melodies and the gorgeous deeply felt vocals of Leanne Brown. The track is taken to the next level by Richard Earnshaw whose rendition laced with sublime jazzy keys, dreamy chords, sweet guitar and a fierce organic backing is truly uplifting.

Afro Traxx Pick: Max Marinacci featuring Alessandra Amo "The soul of the flute" (Unquantize Records Promo)

From Italian Afro house maestro Max Marinacci comes "The soul of the flute", a splendiferous jazz infused afro house production fueled with grandiose flute by Alessandra Amo, luxurious fender rhodes by Peter De Girolamo, precious vibes and utterly contaminous afrotastic rhythms you can't resist to dance to. DJ Spen's re-edit titled "The soul of the drums" which strips the track back to the drums is a very useful DJ tool.
