Peng Records just released the marvelous "My frequency" by Andy Compton, a masterly crafted uber soulful jewel having timeless written all over that oozes with dulcet broken beat flavored rhythms, lovely guitar, luscious keys, bodacious trumpet and Kafele's one-of-a-kind silky smooth vocals. Blast from the Past: Blaze "Lovelee dae" (4 to the Floor Records Promo)

4 to the Floor Records bring back Blaze's seminal house music all-time classic "Lovelee dae" (originally released in 1996 on the "Trans-Jazz EP" through Simplex Records). The track exploded globally in 1997 when Playhouse and Classic licensed the track and released stunning remixes by 20:20 Vision and The Beloved - the rest is history. This massive and truly eclectic ten track package includes the original version and radio edit by Blaze alongside remixes by 20:20 Vision, The Beloved, Carl Craig, Frankie Bones, Doc Martin, Joyce Muniz, Chris Duckenfield and Supersonic Lovers.

Blast from the Past: MK featuring Alana "Love changes" (4 to the Floor Records Promo)

The second new release from 4 to the Floor Records for this week is Marc Kinchen aka MK's timeless 1993 classic "Love changes" which features the amazing vocals of Alana. A fortnight ago we reviewed the vinyl release of the much loved disco/funk tinged groover "Light you up" by Luke Solomon featuring the incredible vocals of Queen Rose and Amy Douglas. The digital release is just around the corner, including Louie Vega's killer boogietastic re-imagination of the original version which features stellar keys and chords, as well as his previously unreleased verily hypnotic  'Organ Mix'. Essential.

Allovers featuring Calvin Lynch "Addicted" (Remixes)(KingStreet Records Promo)

Beginning of April we introduced you to "Addicted" by Russia's Allovers (aka brothers Michail Popov and Ilya Popov), a tempting slice of dance floor goodness featuring the beautiful emotive vocals of Calvin Lynch coming complete with an excellent remix by DJ Beloved and Sheldon Goode. This gem soon returns in fresh remixes by Doug Gomez who beefs the 'BPM So Goode Soul Mix' found on the original release up with gentle yet spell binding percussive rhythms and enticing synth melodies, and by DJ Beloved and Sheldon Goode who deliver a sumptuous alternate rendition giving the song a tantalizing deepened feel.

Mauritzio featuring Levern "Wanna be" (2018 Remixes)(Black Vinyl Records Promo)

In summer of 2011, Black Vinyl Records released "Wanna be" a marvelous slice of soulful underground house by Italian producer Mauritzio 'Old Bastard' Baiocchi fueled with the unique stirring vocals of Orlando Levern Johnson. A couple of months later, remixes by label head Alan Russell, Luyo, DJ Ermi and Mauritzio himself followed. Now the 2018 remixes are here, first up we have an utterly mesmerizing string drenched tech-soul rework by Mauritzio, next are Luis Radio & Spellband with their anthemic prime time favorite, courtesy of Luyo comes an uber cool verily entrancing spacey dub, and last but not least there is a dope full-on funk workout by Mauritzio.
