In August of last year, Italy's renowned DJ/producer/remixer Mark Di Meo payed tribute to the legendary 'Godfather of House', Frankie Knuckles (rip), with a superb soul oozing instrumental production entitled "A gentleman's song FK" which included a beautiful remix by Christian Vinci. Here come four brand new remixes not to be missed: First up, Hungarian DJ/producer Forteba graces us both with a delicious deep'n'groovey remix and a jaw-dropping organic soul/funk infused rendition. In 1979, Arista Records released the James Mtume & Reggie Lucas produced fourth album by American soul singer/songwriter Phyllis Hyman entitled "You know how to love me". The album never truly realized its full potential, but does include the song that would become one Phyllis Hyman's signature tunes: "You know how to love me". Fast forward to 2014 and we are blessed with a marvelous cover version of the song produced by Jerry C King and performed by Dawn Souluvn Williams in grand style, with her unmistakable vocals being combined with an infectious organic backdrop and illustrious keys - sheer musical bliss...

We are taken back in time by Deep Woods with "Take me higher" a gorgeous blend of old school elements with the current deep house sounds of today - a gem guaranteed to get people's heads bobbing and feet moving. The remix is courtesy of Detroit staple Rick Wade who takes the track even further into classic house territory (3Bridge Records CD Promo). Next up are Quentin Kane & Simon Sheldon who team up to bring us the "Together EP" loaded with two tracks showcasing their unique wicked old skool inspired truly unadulterated deep and funky underground house sound (Double Cheese Records CD Promo).
From Andy Compton comes the versatile "African King EP", with the title track being an utterly hypnotizing tech flavored afro-deep affair guaranteed to send the floor into a frenzy. The other featured track is the atmospheric "Spacetime", an inebriant deeper than deep acid infused production perfect for late night play (Peng Records CD Promo).
