On October 9, Brother Talipharaoh, a very talented artist and close friend of mine, passed away. He is best known as the male vocalist on Funky People's "Lift Him Up" and had three releases on Bumpin' City Records. May he rest in peace and condolences to his loved ones. |

Strictly closed its doors in 2002 when a short-lived joint venture with Warner Music ended. |

It all began in 1991 when producer/DJ's Ron Allen and Hayden Andre fused their talents and formed Strobe Records, one of the most influential house music labels of its time. The popularity of Strobe grew very quickly and its unique sound spread through North America, Europe South America and Asia. Ron and Hayden eventually decided to pursue other ventures and genes of music, however they finally reunited in 2006 and have decided to continue where they left off making, good quality music bred from the soul. |

CDM Chicago, NFP presents MOVE! - the 2006 Chicago International House Music Festival being held on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23. The new lakefront outdoor venue Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island will house the event from 1 PM to 11PM. The venture between CDM and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Bureau of Tourism (IBOT) will showcase the genre of House music which was cultivated in the city of Chicago.
"The Chicago International House Music Festival is sure to provide a fun-filled weekend for music lovers," said Jan Kostner, IBOT Deputy Director.
