Aalon was an American soul/rock group from Los Angeles formed by lead singer and guitarist Aalon Butler who released only one album entitled "Cream city" in 1977 (on Arista Records). Said album includes the wonderful soul/funk groover "Magic night" reworked by Morttimer Snerd III into a scintillating four-to-the-floor stomper that keeps the spirit of the original alive.

Traxx Pick: Distant People "Yours and mine" (Arima Records Promo)

We are closing this weeks update with "Your and mine", an absolutely enchanting instrumental production by Distant People (Joey Silvero) out now on Arima Records. To make a long story short, "Yours and mine" using a smooth yet compelling rich organic musical backing as foundation for luxurious jazzed-up keys and celestial chord progressions is sheer musical bliss...
