Claudio Passavanti aka Sunlightsquare is back on Spirit of House with "Oyelo", certainly this ingenious truly breathtaking release has essential written all over... "Oyelo" is a phenomenal fusion of Jazz with Cuban and House Music starting off with a formidable Latin-Jazz piano and sun drenched percussion by Giovanni Imparato before a classic house beat kicks in and passionate vocals by Rene Alvarez and a sublime Montuno piano are added. London based Japanese producer Kay Suzuki contributes two brilliant remixes: The 'By the Sea Mix' enriched with the sound of waves and seagulls is a splendid re-imagination of the original, while the hypnotizing 'Drum Dub' strips all the musical elements for a classic cosmic dub treatment.
