Back in 2001, KingStreet Records released the first installment in the "Tokyo Calling" series. Since then volumes two and three and "Tokyo Calling (20 Years Essentials)" saw the light of the day, now the time has come for volume four. Similar to its predecessors, what you get is aneclectic continental crossover compilation where artists, producers and remixers from the east and west come together to blend sounds and styles, with the result being an awe-inspiring collection of seminal house music gems. A total of twenty cuts from an illustrious list of artists such as Agora Rhythm, Blaze, Chieko Kinbara, Tomo Inoue, Brisa, Dazzle Drums, DJ Kawasaki, Studio Apartment, Alex Kenji, Hideo Kabayashi, Namy, Marc Evans, Stephanie Cooke, Kimara Lovelace, Heather Johnson and Hirsohi Watanabe (to name just a few) are included - simply put, "Tokyo Calling Vol. 4" perfectly showcases the many flavors the Japanese house music scene has to offer.
